Dr. Kavitha Blewett is a New York native who largely grew up in the Plano, Texas, area. She has served the health care needs of North Texas women since 2004 as a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist. In 2024, she became a D Magazine Best Doctor honoree for the seventh time in her extensive medical career, recognized for her caring bedside manner and educational approach to care. Dr. Blewett graduated with her medical degree from Albany Medical College in New York. She completed her OB/GYN residency at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center-Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Dr. Blewett is married and has two daughters.
