Description
Dr. Matthew Elson, a DFW native, is a board-certified general surgeon, teacher and researcher with fellowship training in surgical critical care/acute care surgery. He has focused his career on the care of critically ill surgical patients with traumatic injuries and sudden, potentially life-threatening, conditions.
He uses minimally invasive laparoscopic, endoscopic, and robotic procedures for gastrointestinal, hernia repair, and other traumatic and emergent surgical needs, along with the use of critical care ultrasound. Dr. Elson previously served as a clinical instructor in Surgery at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Mass.
before returning to North Texas, where he began his medical education.
