  • Paul J. Ritter

    Chief Executive Officer

    As Principal and CEO of Digital Discovery, Paul Ritter has over 15 years of experience in the legal services practice area and more than 35 years successfully leading service-based businesses. Building on his BBA from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, Paul has guided the company from a one man operation to one of the largest computer forensic firms in the Southwest. At Digital Discovery, Paul serves as an eDiscovery consultant and expert to corporations and law firms for the entire ESI life cycle in addition to the preservation and collection stages of eDiscovery. In his role, Paul has successfully managed large scale computer forensic collections involving antitrust litigation, mergers and acquisitions, complex commercial litigation and labor and employment investigations. Paul and his wife Julie live in Lake Highlands while their triplet daughters are currently in college in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Tennessee. Paul is a member of Watermark Community Church and spends his time outside of the office playing golf and biking around White Rock Lake.

    Vice President, Principal

    Chip joined Digital Discovery in 2018 as Principal and Vice President. During the previous 23 years, Chip helped law firms and corporate in-house legal departments navigate through large volumes of documents and data related to complex discovery disputes, internal and government investigations. Chip began his career in the litigation support industry shortly after graduating from Texas A&M with a degree in accounting when he joined two friends and their startup company. Since then, Chip has seen the industry evolve. However, his focus remains on helping clients leverage technology and best practices to meet their legal obligation in the most efficient, cost-effective, and defensible manner. A Certified Electronic Discovery Specialist (CEDS) since 2013, his experience with his previous company as Director of eDiscovery, Director of Managed Document Review and Technology Consultant prove to be a valuable resource to clients and Digital Discovery’s eDiscovery Channel Partners. Since joining the Digital Discovery team, Chip has enjoyed helping clients uncover the truth through the investigation process. Chip and his wife Allison are active members of Providence Presbyterian Church in Dallas, where he serves on the Missions Committee. Chip also serves as Chairman of the Board for Coram Deo Academy, the largest Classical Christian University Model school in the country.

  • Steven P. Davis

    Director of Business Development

    As Principal and Director of Business Development, Steve Davis brings over 25 years of experience in the corporate investigations and legal service practice areas to Digital Discovery. Shortly after earning a Bachelor of Science in Marketing/Management with Honors from Illinois State University and a Master of Business Administration with Honors from the University of Illinois, Steve served as a team leader for two separate consulting companies conducting hundreds of investigations dealing with securities fraud, lender liability, borrower fraud, commercial disputes and attorney/accountant malpractice. Steve has extensive experience offering best practice solutions within litigated matters that require computer forensic collections and eDiscovery solutions. In addition to helping clients respond to immediate litigation through data-mapping and early case assessment, Steve has worked with corporations of all sizes to help them manage the entire life cycle of their data from cradle to grave using tailored enterprise-wide solutions for purposes of litigation preparedness. Because of his leadership role in the field of eDiscovery consulting, Steve has been accredited by The State Bar of Texas as a continuing education speaker and often lectures at CLE events covering recent case laws on computer forensic collections, spoliation and evidence defensibility. Steve lives with his wife, Cindy, in Lake Highlands and has three daughters. In his spare time, he coaches select soccer for The D'Feeters Soccer Club and watches two of his daughters travel around the country playing soccer for Baylor University and Sting Soccer Club.

    General Counsel

    As General Counsel of Digital Discovery, David Weber brings over a decade of expert eDiscovery consulting experience to our firm. In addition, David has practiced law for over 15 years specializing in complex civil litigation, white-collar criminal defense and labor and employment matters. David has served as Discovery Practices Counsel for a national electronic discovery company and as Director of Discovery Services for a national litigation consulting firm. David possesses extensive experience in investigating complex litigation matters, creating discovery strategies for clients involved in large scale discovery, and assisting corporate clients with data retention and recovery policies for the purpose of preparing for the rigors of potential litigation. As a member of The American Bar Association, The State Bar of Texas and a Fellow in The Dallas Bar Association, David has written numerous articles and presented several seminars addressing the role of electronic evidence in litigation, sanctions for discovery abuse and advanced discovery practices. David lives with his wife Eileen and their three children in Dallas. In his free time, David enjoys playing golf and coaching his childrens' sports teams.
